The Lofts on Ludington

IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK...
There are many stories and memories that go along with a building that has been a landmark for more than 100 years and we are always looking to learn more! We are excited about the history that has already been uncovered and thankful to those who have shared stories and memories since the announcement of the Lofts on Ludington project. Part of bringing this building back to life is recognizing its history, therefore, we are always looking for more information, stories, etc. to help us continue to tell the story of this iconic building.

Based upon initial research, the following timeframe has been established:

DATES	OCCUPANT or BUILDING OWNER
1901 - 1925	Richter Brewing Company
1933 - 1945	Delta Brewing Company
1946 - 1947	City of Escanaba, Bonifas Technical School
1947 - 1950's	William Plansky
1950's - 1977	Harold “Pat” Gasman (during this time a Cold War era bomb shelter was constructed in the heavily fortifed walls of the building; it was dismantled in the 1960's)
Late '90's- 1995	Veterinarian Donald Alimenti (during this time artist lofts were established on the building's second floor)
Late '90's - '00's	Cosmetology school and karate club, gymnastics studio
2001 - 2003	Ghilardi Trust and Janice Ghilardi
2005	Marek Malysk
